Veterinary House Calls: Bringing Pet Medical Care to You

At Coyne Veterinary Center, we go the distance to bring high quality veterinary care to your pet, regardless of their circumstances. Our veterinary house calls bring exceptional pet medical care straight to your Portage home, serving the needs of both pets and owners. It may be that your pet is too anxious and fearful to be brought in, or you’re simply unable to make the drive to our practice. No worries, just give us a call and schedule your house call appointment.

Services We Provide at House Calls

Each of our veterinarians is able to visit your home for the treatment of your pet. In the comfort of familiar settings, many pets are often much calmer and we can perform more accurate evaluations. At a veterinary house call, we provide the following services:

  • Wellness exams
  • Vaccinations
  • Weight checks (for smaller pets)
  • Ear cleanings
  • Nail trims
  • Anal gland expression
  • Heartworm tests
  • Blood draws (for lab testing)
  • Administration/application of parasite preventatives
  • Euthanasia

PICK-UP SERVICES

In the event your pet needs advanced care and treatment at our animal hospital, we can safely transport your companion to our facility. They can then be returned to you once their treatment is complete. We also offer pick-up and drop-off services for boarding and grooming reservations as well, so be sure to ask!

Specifics About Our Visit

When you call to schedule your veterinary house call, be sure to tell us what services your pet requires so we can be ready with all the necessary materials. Before the visit, your veterinarian will call to let you know to expect them soon. Make sure there is a room with ample space where the vet can fully examine your pet and administer treatments without interruption. After the services are complete, the veterinarian may offer instructions for care or ask that your pet be brought into our practice for further evaluation.
