Requirements for Dog Daycare

Similar to our boarding and grooming services, using our dog daycare service means your pet needs to meet certain requirements.

Here’s our vaccine policy for dog daycare:

  • If your pet's vaccines need to be updated on the day of their daycare visit, you'll need to check in for a walk-in tech or doctor visit and stay until your pet's vaccines have been given.
  • The ideal timeline is to have your pet's vaccines updated at least 2 weeks before their daycare visit.
  • Luxury overnight boarding available

These are the vaccinations and tests your pet needs for daycare at Coyne:

  • Rabies
  • DHPP
  • Canine influenza = H3N2 and H3N8 strains
  • Bordetella
  • Negative fecal sample (within the last 6 months)
  • Must be spayed or neutered by 6 months of age.

COMPANION CARE FOR YOUR FURRY FRIEND

Whether you need to leave your pooch for a few hours or more, our dog daycare facility is designed to meet your needs. Our daycare runs from 8am-4pm Monday-Friday and 8am-2pm on Saturdays. Pups get a rest time in the middle of the day to recharge and eat lunch if provided or requested. You are welcome to drop off and pick up any time during our office hours as your dog will still receive supervised care and potty breaks outside of daycare hours.

At our Portage animal hospital, your dog has the opportunity to frolic in an enclosed, outdoor play yard complete with K9 grass, or avoid the weather inside our spacious, temperature-controlled indoor play area. No matter where your dog spends their time, our attentive staff is always watching to make sure everyone plays nicely!

For the safety of both our staff and other pets, all dogs must pass a social evaluation before spending time at our daycare sessions. The evaluation will only need to be conducted once and each of our canine attendees will be closely supervised.
