Dr. Meaghan Spalla

Veterinarian

Biography

I attended the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine. I grew up with a farm across the street that had a diverse amount of animals including dogs, cats, chickens, donkeys, horses and others. I spent almost everyday across the street at the farm playing with the animals and gaining compassion and love for them ultimately leading me to the decision to become a veterinarian at the age of 4.

What do you consider your greatest accomplishment at this point in your life?
Becoming a Veterinarian as of May 2024!

If you could give one piece of advice to pet owners, what would it be?
One piece of advice I can offer to pet owners is start training young and stay patient. Work with your veterinarian and pet to try and find ways that work best for you both! The human- animal bond is the most important aspect to care for.

3 things people might be surprised to know about you?
I am an avid golfer, I played for Purdue Northwest in undergrad and have played in more than 15 different states! I enjoy spending time tending to my plants; I have over 30 household plants! My dog (Ohana) and I are always traveling and finding new hiking trails to enjoy during our free days.
