I grew up in the South Suburbs of Chicago and majored in Health Administration at Robert Morris University while on a Lacrosse scholarship (National Champion 2014.) After receiving my Bachelor’s degree, I moved to Austin, Texas and fell in love with animal rescue. In my spare time, I volunteered at local shelters, as well as fostering with Austin Boxer Rescue. After moving to Austin, I immediately knew I wanted to stay in the medical field but also help care of animals. I started working in the Veterinary field in 2017 and eventually worked my way up into Practice Management.
Do you currently have any pets? What are their names and what is your favorite thing about them?
I currently have 2 pets. Penelope is a 7 year old terrier mix and Simba is a 6 year old Boxer/Pit mix.
What do you find most rewarding about working with animals?
The most rewarding thing about working with animals is not only seeing patients get back to great health, but also seeing the smile on a clients face whether its from seeing their dogs new and awesome hair cut, or picking up from boarding after being separated from a long vacation and even having their dog go home healthier and happier when they first arrived.
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?
When I am not working, I love going around Downtown Chicago and taking pictures as well as spending time with my nieces and nephews.
What causes are you most passionate about?
My 2 most important goals as a Practice Manager is Patient Care and Team Morale.
